Is Emris International a Pyramid Scheme or Good Business Opportunity?

Emris International is a multi-level marketing company established in 2019.

As this company specializes in selling CBD oils, you may have stumbled on this page because a family member or friend recommended you to join and referred to it as being a GREAT BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY!!!

The truth of the matter is that you have been presented with this opportunity by someone you know because the best chance to earn with Emris comes from recruiting others to join.

That fact leads to all MLM companies being labeled as pyramid schemes, but I will not label Emris International as such. That is due to the fact that it is possible to make an income from selling their products.

So to know whether or not this business opportunity is right for you, this post will provide full details on what is Emris International about and all it has to offer. I must share the fact that I am in no way associated with the company and I am in a position to share this review due to past experience with another MLM company called World Ventures.

What is Emris International About?

Based in Sandton, South Africa, Emris International is a multi-level marketing company founded by Matthew and IIean Harris. There is not much information on their background, but Matthew became a network marketer in 2008 after losing his job during the recession.

Membership

You can join as an affiliate and make a small commission by referring people to buy their products for $49 and then $35 annually. There is also an option to purchase a business starter pack:

• Business Builder Kit – $199
• Legacy Builder Kit – $499
• Presidential Kit – $999

As stated, the business starter packs are optional, however once you pay the $49 fee you will become a brand ambassador and must sale $80 worth of products every 5 weeks to keep your membership active. Distributors that are unable to do so must buy products at retail value.

Compensation

While you can get paid a commissions through recruitment and selling, MLM companies usually have a complex compensation plan that can be difficult to understand.

Instead of being straightforward and basing what you make on actual dollars, Emris International pays distributors on a point value system. You will need to be familiar with terms like PV (personal volume) and GV (group volume) etc.

Trying to understand every detail of how you get paid may leave you with a headache. To keep things simple, here is a bit of clarity on what you get from affiliates who sign up with a Business Starter Pack.

Emris International features CBD Oils and a variety of products for weight loss which is detailed in the image below.

In reviewing Emris International, I’m not sure of their major selling point which might be necessary to promote their CBD products. That is due to the fact that it is more expensive than alternative quality products on the market. An example below shows a price comparison of one of their CBD oils.

When talking about the concentration of CBD, it refers to how many milligrams of CBD a product contains. Emris International’s CBD Oil by Synergy is low in strength with only 150 milligrams. Upon further review of the quality of CBD oils based on milligrams, I found that similar products with only 150 mg are mostly used on pets.

Pros of Joining Emris International

There is more to lose than gain by becoming a Emris International distributor. In struggling to find reasons to join, the only thing I can come up with is the fact that you can make decent commissions as an affiliate by referring people to their products.

When it comes to training on promoting and selling products, Emris International has the same problem as most multi-level marketing businesses. The problem most members face when becoming a member of these businesses is that you are lead to believe their products are GREAT and STAND OUT from the REST and HOW GREAT it would be to INTRODUCE this to your FRIENDS and FAMILY!!!

If you are an owner of any business, especially nowadays with the Covid situation, you need to know how to MARKET ONLINE. With Emris International being in the CBD Oils category, you will need specific targeting to people that could benefit from their products.

Becoming an affiliate has everything to do with affiliate marketing, and if you knew anything about affiliate marketing you would know that you do not need to pay to become an affiliate for most brands. You would also know you can make a commission and promote almost any product ever made with affiliate marketing.

Although the only reason to join may be due to the fact that you can make decent commissions as an affiliate, their expensive products in a competitive market such as CBD oils will make this a hard pitch to consumers that want good quality products at a more affordable price.

Conclusion

Emris International is not an MLM company I would recommend joining especially if you are an inexperienced marketer. Recruiting a family member or friend can ruin a relationship which is something that happens every so often when talking about these types of businesses. Due to the high cost of their starter packs, montly sales quota, and other added costs, the financial loss is greater and so is the risk of a falling out.

There are some newer network marketing companies that understand the importance of marketing online and will teach you some social media strategies to promote their brand.  Although Emris International does not provide advanced training, if the person that signs you up really knows what they are doing then it might work out.

With that said, there are plenty of opportunities to make an income online which will require less work and can eventually replace your day job. For a chance to make a passive income to change your life for the better and take control of your own fate instead of having to rely on recruiting…
