What is Linkspy About? Increase Profit To Your Website By 100%?

What is Linkspy?

what is linkspy about

What is Linkspy: Linkspy is a software that shortens links and pays when someone drive traffic to that link. There are a lot of sites you can use to create shortened links and earn money by getting clicks. However, there are reasons why I would not recommend url shorteners as a main strategy to make money online.

Before getting to that, I must mention that having a website is not necessary to make money with this. If you have a huge social media following then using Linkspy can be an easy way to make extra money every month.

However, this is not something I highly recommend because this type of method for making money online is not as easy as it sounds. The #1 strategy to make a substantial amount of passive income online is through affiliate marketing.

If you have a website you want to monetize then you should look into my Ultimate Guide to Make Money Online. It goes over how to make money with affiliate marketing whether you have a website or not.

While Linkspy advertise itself as a good way to increase profit on your website, as mentioned above it can be promoted on your social media accounts to make an extra income as well.

While there are some occasions where using shortened links can be beneficial, I try to minimize how much I include on my website.

That is because linkspy pays you by redirecting your audience to advertisements instead of going to a page they expect to land on.

If you ever clicked on a link and got redirected to some page you didn’t expect and just tried to find a way out, chances are you clicked on a link that pays per click.

However, earning on every click is not possible if the person don’t watch the ad and leave the page altogether.

So I would only recommend this if you have a website and there are certain pages you want to monetize that gets a lot of traffic. But… if you over do it and put links like this on every page, it will be annoying to your audience.

This is actually considered spam and you will get banned from posting shortened urls in most forums.

This use to be an easy method to make money online when forums were popular and more active than what it is today.

In the early 90s late 2000s you could get a way with posting spammy links in forums. Which brings me to another reason I don’t highly recommend this as you will get banned from posting links like this in most forums nowadays. This is the reason why this method of earning online is not as popular as it use to be.

In present time this strategy is best used on social media or if you have a website. The drawback to doing this on social media is the same as overdoing it on a website. How many people will continue to click on your link knowing they will be spammed.

I might unfollow that person after a few times.

That is because I would think of that person as someone that always entice me to click on a link just to get redirected to some page I don’t expect.

How Much Can You Earn with Linkspy

It mostly depends on your traffic, how many hits from a single IP you get, what country are your users located in, etc.

On average, there calculations say that you can expect to earn $5 per 1,000 visitors. If you don’t have a lot of traffic on your website or a huge following on social media then it will be difficult to make much money with this.

Why Use A Link Shortener?

  • Save space and “beautify” links. Short links look better and are more user friendly. For some types of communications like text messages or Twitter posting it’s crucial to keep links short to leave room for a message (as you probably know a tweet is 140 characters long)
  • Tracking & statistics. Some shorteners give statistics about clicks, impressions and a range of other trackable data.
  • Making money. You can earn money each time a short link is clicked!

Final Thoughts

Most websites make money through things like selling ad space, affiliate products or their own digital products and so on.

Some monetization methods are more or less passive, some require ongoing work, some seem to suit a specific website well, others not so much.

Creative website owners can combine a variety of strategies and use them simultaneously. You have to test a combination of methods to see what works best for you.

Ads served by paid shorteners are not usually of high quality and that’s the reason why I avoid doing it to much.

Most website owners like me prefer AdSense because of ad quality and conversion.

However, not every website can be accepted by Google and some of them are even banned after a while because of their content.

As a result many choose to make money online with link shorteners.

So if you struggle with Google or your website is similar to what I mentioned above, you may consider trying out a paid shortener and it may prove beneficial.
