Thirty One Gifts Review: Quick Summary
Name: Thirty One Gifts
Description: Thirty One Gifts is a network market company that promotes women accessories such as bags and purses. It doesn't cost much to become a member and they seem to have a generous compensation plan for it"s distributors. This might be one of the better MLM companies to consider joining. However, without any marketing skills, most people fail to succeed as these companies tell you to promote the business to friends and family.
Price: $99
Is Thirty One Gifts a Pyramid Scheme
I wouldn’t label Thirty-One Gifts a Pyramid Scheme, but their business model is set up in similar aspects. This is not a company I would recommend joining, but Thirty One Gifts is somewhat unique with products made specifically for women. If you have marketing skills and know-how to target and build an audience then you might be one of the lucky few to have success.
Pros
- Good Focus on Sales
- History of being in business
Cons
- Low Success Rate
- Training is Outdated
- Quality and Price of Products
- A Bit Watered Down
Thirty-One Gifts is a multi-level marketing company established in 2003. As you are doing your diligence to consider whether Thirty One Gifts is worth joining, chances are you have been persuaded to become a member through someone in your family or maybe a friend.
The truth of the matter is that you have been presented with this opportunity by someone you know because the best chance of earning an income is by recruiting others to join. That fact leads to all MLM companies being labeled as pyramid schemes, but I will not label Thirty-One Gifts as such. That is due to the fact that it is possible to make an income from selling their products.
So to know whether or not this business opportunity is right for you, this post will provide full details on what is Thirty One Gifts about and all it has to offer. I must share the fact that I am in no way associated with the company. I am in a position to share this review with you because I have past experience with another MLM company called World Ventures.
Thirty One Gifts mainly targets woman as opposed to World Ventures which marketed travel packages, but all MLM business models are the same if you ask me.
As I have strived to make a passive income in the past with network marketing and other past business failures, I have found success with internet marketing which is the best way to go about marketing products in general.
MLM companies will turn you into that annoying friend that harass everyone you come across to join or buy your products.
It’s a known fact that there is a low success rate for members within Multi-Level Marketing Businesses and if you consider joining it would be in your best interest to learn everything you can regarding marketing online to reach a wider audience instead of being limited to the people in your circle.

Ok now lets get to the review of Thirty One Gifts and see if it’s the right opportunity for you.
Thirty One Gifts Review
Based in New Albany, Ohio, Thirty One Gifts was founded by Cindy Monroe. As a working mother of two young children, she found it difficult to visit boutiques and stores in the area. To cater to the problem she adopted a direct-selling business model, where independent, home-based consultants would sell her products—bags, purses and other accessories.
As a religous person she would name her company after Proverbs 31, which celebrates women’s strengths.
Membership
It costs $99 to become a distiributor for Thirty One Gifts.
The consultant kit provided after becoming a member consists of $300 worth of items made up of new products plus some business supplies.
They have another kit that costs $179 which will give you more items to start off.
You will also need to sell $200 worth of products every three months to remain active.
Compensation Plan
After becoming a Thirty One Gifts consultant, you can get 25 percent commission on your sales. You also earn a percentage of the sales from other people you recruit to become Thirty-One consultant plus bonuses and incentives. Although this may sound simple, it is never clear cut as it seems when it comes to these kinds of companies. For more details regarding there compensation plan you can check out the video below.
Thirty One Gifts Pros
- Reasonable price to join
- Good Focus on Sales
- History of being in business
Compared to other MLMs I have reviewed in the past, Thirty-One Gifts price to join isn’t too bad, and with its focus on sales instead of recruiting, the company may seem like a great opportunity.
However, there is still a heavy emphasis placed on recruiting and you can’t go into it thinking you will be very successful by just selling their products.
Thirty-One Gifts has been around long enough that you shouldn’t have to worry about it being shutdown from constant lawsuits and complaints many MLM companies endure.
Despite the things it has going for itself, their are more cons than pros.
Thirty One Gifts Cons
- Low Success Rate
- Training is Outdated
- Quality and Price of Products
- A Bit Watered Down
Upon checking their income disclosure statement, only 1 percent of distributors made between $10,000-$99,999 in 2019. It is no surprise as these business models are not set up for most to succeed.
As a whole, it is believed that the average consultant makes about $6,000 annually. As a side income that might be ok, but the fact is that this is averaged out between those making real money and those making absolutely nothing.
The training will teach you to primarily throw house parties and present it to friends and family. That strategy is a reason why multi-level marketing companies are known to ruin relationships. Not only are you susceptible to losing money in the business, but others close to you are likely to lose money as well.
Customers complain about the quality of the products, and it can be more expensive compared to similar products on the market. That is due to the fact that their products need to be priced higher in order to compensate on the commissions it takes to pay distributors.
While successful MLM companies usually experience the most growth within its initial years of launching, Thirty-One Gifts is no different and their years of growing and having exponential sales have seemed to plateaued within the past few years.
Conclusion
Thirty-One Gifts is not a business opportunity I would recommend especially if you are an inexperienced marketer.
There are plenty of opportunities to make an income online which will require less work and can eventually replace your day job. For a chance to make a passive income to change your life for the better…
